Louth Hockey Club

It is advised to wear shin-guards if you want to avoid bruised legs and ankles.

Hockey shin-guards offer better protection than those worn by footballers.  So, although football shin-guards are more widely available, it's probably best to have a look around for some special hockey ones.

Some shin-guards are made of a foam composite which means they are lighter as well as sturdy.
