Home Again At Last
This season saw the Club being able to use the
tremendous facilities, housed in the brand new pavilion at
London Road, provided by East Lindsey District Council. It
is here
where the Club can, once again, host it's home matches and
train.
This photo was taken outside the new
pavilion to mark the raising of the 2012 Olympic flag and to
begin the Olympic countdown! Representatives from E.L.D.C. and
from the clubs, based at London Road, were invited to
attend.

The International Hockey
Federation (F.I.H.) Implement Experimental "Free Hit" Rule.
A “self-pass” from a free hit has therefore been
introduced. It enables the player taking the free hit
to play the ball again after taking the free hit which
will encourage free-flowing hockey.
As with other actions on the hockey pitch, this must
take place safely. Other aspects of the free hit rules
have therefore been reviewed. To read more

Louth Hockey Club U11 Boys Become County Champions
The first round of the National Yazoo U11 Mini
Championships were held here at Louth on 8th
MARCH ’09. A windy, but bright sunny day saw teams
from Brigg, Lincoln, Long Sutton, Louth, Sleaford
and Spalding take to the astro turf ready for some
challenging play.
Welcoming a new player to their midst, Louis the
Goal Keeper, Louth began as they meant to go on and
sent a flurry of goals past Brigg to win 7 – 0.
As the weather deteriated so Louth’s confidence
grew. A great spirit prevailed and excellent team
work proved them unstoppable. They went on to beat
Spalding 8 - 0, Long Sutton 5 -0, and
finally Lincoln 5 - 0, scoring 24 gaols in all with
none against. Thus making them Lincolnshire Champions. |
A Great Spirit Prevailed
This earned them a chance to go
to the East championship, at the Harleston Magpies
Hockey Club ground, on April 25th ’09
where they will face some very tough opposition
in order to reach the National
Final at Highfields, Nottingham in May’09. |

The Four Nations Tournament
in Seville - Spain April '09
Congratulations also to
Samuel Temple-Baxter who has been selected to
play with England's U16 squad.
Samuel came to train at
Louth when he was about 7 or 8 and has gone
from strength to strength playing, originally
with Louth juniors, then for a short time with
Lincoln juniors. He then went into men's league
hockey,
playing for Horncastle and finally for Alford & District H.C.
He also progressed through the County and Regional
squads and finally reaching the dizzy heights of
National recognition - well done Sam. We'll be
following your progress! |
More Congratulations!!
Chloe Thornley, Kelly
Thomlinson, Michelle Scott, Lizzie Marshall and
Rosie Bunney have passed their theory
