At present there are
two ladies teams, this season the 1st Team is maintaining a
place in the East Women's League Division 2NW, whilst the
2nd Team play in the Lincolnshire Green League.
All matches are
played on a Saturday and at present the 1st Team travel as
far away as Cambridge, St. Neots, Peterborough and Kings
Lynn as well as those clubs nearer home such as Lincoln,
Long Sutton and Skegness. The 2nd Team play their
matches within the boundaries of Lincolnshire, the furthest
being Long Sutton and Spalding.
Training
takes place on a
Monday evening
Both teams are made up
of players of varying ages, although the two thirds of the
2nd Team generally consists of players under 18
and is an excellent grooming ground for the step up to the
1st Team. Players are allowed to play as soon as they
have reached the age of 13.
Besides the
Saturday leagues a lot of the girls and ladies enjoy the
opportunity to play in the Mixed Team and often train with
the Youths and Men on a
Thursday
evening.
