Louth Hockey Club

The Junior section of the Club has grown steadily since the astro turf was laid at the original Louth Sports Association ground on London Road, Louth, in the early 90's.

The Coaches, officials and volunteers all have CRB clearance and give up their time freely and create an enthusiastic and enjoyable atmosphere whether it be at training or a competition.

The Club encourages the junior league players to help with the training sessions and also at the various competitions.  They are also encouraged to gain coaching and umpiring qualifications whilst in their younger years, for example junior and Level 1 umpire status and the Level 1 Coaching qualification.  At present the Club has 4 Level 1 umpires under 18.

For several seasons the Club has participated in regular Under 11,Under 12,Under 13 and Under 14 mixed 7 a-side leagues, usually on a Sunday. The venues are spread around the County.

There are also occasional Badgers fixtures - Badgers are designed to encourage the step from smaller sided games to that of 11 a -side.  Teams include up to 3 adults who cannot be in either circle, but are there to encourage and play make for the younger team members.
